Pray KC – A Non-Profit Ministry  

Position: Pray KC Volunteer Event Coordinator 

Commitment: 1 year

Initial Review: @ 6 months 

Overview:

Pray KC is a non-profit Citywide prayer movement that exists to help the Church in Kansas City Pray. We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Event Coordinator to help plan and execute successful Pray KC events. 

These events would include (but not limited to):

  • Nights with God

  • Annual Leaders Retreat

Responsibilities: 

As a Volunteer Event Coordinator, you will support the Pray KC Team in executing event logistics. 

Your primary responsibilities include overseeing event-day setup, such as managing greeting, information, and meeting tables, as well as preparing spaces for team meals and organizing food layouts. 

Additionally, if needed, you will schedule and communicate with other volunteers supporting you in these areas.

The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and passionate about creating welcoming environments that foster meaningful citywide prayer experiences.

This is a volunteer position, ideal for individuals who enjoy event hosting, and making a hospitable impact.

Hours and Meetings:

  • Hours are specific to each event (typically day of the event). 

  • No regular team meetings are required, though meetings may be involved in event execution.

Qualifications:  

  • High relational and interpersonal skills

  • Generous “can do” attitude  

  • Intuitive ability to anticipate hospitality needs

  • Able to lift 30 lb objects (such as boxes) from the floor.   

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team  

  • Passion for prayer and community impact
